Dr. Adán Alejándro Fernández, Dean
Dr. Adán Fernández is the University Organist at California Lutheran University where he teaches organ students, Keyboard Harmony, and Worship and Music courses. He is also the Director of Music and Liturgy/Organist at Holy Family Catholic Church in Glendale. He is also an Associate Conductor for the National Children’s Chorus and Director of the Concert Chorus at Chaffey College.
Dr. Fernández earned his DMA from USC in Sacred Music with sub-fields in Organ Performance, Choral Music, and Musicology.

Paul Kellogg, Subdean
Paul Kellogg is a young musician who recently graduated from California Lutheran University. Paul currently serves as Music Minister at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Simi Valley. In 2019 he won first prize in the AGO Ventura County Chapter Quimby Regional Competition for Young Organists and went on to compete in the final round at the AGO West Convention in Orange County. Paul is a lover of all styles of music, and he is also a singer and multi-instrumentalist, with experience playing piano, organ, guitar, bass guitar, drumset, and percussion. Paul Has served as subdean of the AGO Ventura County chapter since 2020.

Sara Edwards, Secretary
Sara Edwards is delighted to be organist at St Paul’s Episcopal Church, Ventura, and has been organist/music director for in churches in Santa Barbara, Ojai, Fillmore, Santa Barbara, Santa Paula. She has sung and been a soloist in the Ojai Camerata, Ventura Master Chorale, and as a collaborative pianist for Las Voces, and is active as an officer in the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists. She works full time at a private school and looks forward to summers doing course work, master classes, and attending music conferences. Her son is a cantor at St. Paul’s as well as guitar soloist; together they recorded a year’s worth of hymns for St. Paul’s on-line services which was a unique and special mother-son endeavor.

Mariana Smith
Mariana Smith studied music in California, Britain and Germany and holds degrees from University of California, San Diego and Stuttgart University, Germany.She has performed all genres of music throughout Europe and California.As music director of both the Ventura Chamber Music series and Santa Paula Concert series, she organized over 70 concerts. Mariana was a professor of music at Ventura College for over 20 years before her recent retirement.In addition to playing the piano and organ, Mariana also plays the flute and recorder. She is currently principal flautist of the Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra (CHICO).When she is not playing music she is ballroom dancing.
